After his sister Mely was murdered by LAPD in 2018, Albert Corado became a community organizer and vocal advocate for victims of police violence. In 2021 Albert decided to take his fight for justice to city hall by running for City Council. He ran the first abolitionist campaign Los Angeles has ever seen, aiming to avenge his sister's death by defunding and dismantling the policing system.
